The MA in Education prepares forward-thinking educators, administrators, and educational researchers to solve unprecedented challenges across a range of educational institutions and organizations, from elementary schools to colleges, public policy agencies, and more.

Ideal for working professionals, this flexible program teaches you to apply theory and research to important challenges in the field of education. Choose from three concentrations as you design an individualized course of study that reflects your passions and pursue academic interests across disciplines within a diverse, close-knit environment ideal for exchanging ideas and cultural perspectives. The School of Educational Studies offers personal attention from engaged, exceptional faculty in small seminar-style courses. We prepare exceptional administrators, scholars, and teachers who achieve significant change in education and pursue successful careers in schools, universities, nonprofits, and research settings.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Flexible programming for working and commuting professionals, including night and weekend classes.
You can pursue your degree in conjunction with another degree program at CGU. You receive a diploma for each degree, “double count” some units from one program to the other, and decrease your required total units.

CGU requires applicants to submit proof of a completed a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. The school also requires a minimum standard of a B average in undergraduate coursework (3.0 on a 4.0 scale). A minimum TOEFL score of 95 iBT, or a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 with no sub-score lower than 6.5, is required for direct-entry admission. Admitted students who score below 95 iBT on the TOEFL, or below 7.0 on the IELTS, will be required to successfully complete ISP (earning a grade of B or higher in each required ISP course) prior to beginning their degree programs.
