The aim of this on line programme is to enable experienced practitioners who have already completed relevant level 5 study (HND/FdA or equivalent 240 credit points) in Early Years/Early Childhood Studies to progress to a BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies.

The Programme provides opportunities for students to synthesise and apply their existing knowledge, skills and understanding of early years practice. It is available as full-time and part-time modes of study, flexible to your work and family commitments. The distance learning mode adopted will involve full online delivery of the programme. An online induction programme introduces learners to the requirements of the course and cultivates a learning community amongst students.

You will acquire confidence in your professional role to meet the challenges of change and innovation in early childhood practice. You will also critically engage with the theories, concepts and debates at the forefront of early years provision.

The programme has been designed to consolidate and extend your existing skills, knowledge and understanding of your professional practice by investigation, analysis and reflection on aspects of your work with children and families. This programme will require approx. 8- 12 hours a week private study to access the study materials and engage with wider reading and research. Full support is provided via online 1:1 tutorials which enable you to seek guidance for module assessments.
