Overview

The programme is designed to cater for those wishing to study subjects related to organisation, work and technology, but with more focus on theory and/or research rather than practice. It allows greater flexibility in terms of module selection. Two thirds of the programme consist of research training, including a dissertation, and for the remaining third, you can choose subject- specific modules from those offered by the Department of Organisation, work and Technology and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. This will allow you to tailor the course to your own aims and interests in order to gain a more in depth knowledge and understanding of the key theories, concepts, and debates in the area. This programme would be ideal if you are planning to progress into a PhD in a related area and a career in academia, or seeking employment in social science research and policymaking, such as governments, think tanks and other non-profit organisations, or social research-oriented business functions.
