Related Experience

The Department of Marketing is proud to support two nationally recognized student organizations, American Marketing Association ODU Club and Alpha Kappa Psi. We highly recommend that you become involved with one or both organization during your time at ODU. Some of the benefits of membership in these organizations include: the ability to interact with students who have common interests, the opportunity to network with marketing professionals in the community, and the ability to make a difference by helping non-profit organizations.

Through frequent collaboration with the business community, the Marketing Program also offers ample opportunities to work on real-world marketing projects with actual businesses. These are integrated into many of our marketing courses as well as a standalone Practical Marketing Solutions course. Students gain valuable hands-on learning experience, interact with business owners, and often gain internship or job opportunities as a result of the projects.
