The use of biotechnology encompasses a wide range of procedures in the agricultural, medical, and alternative energy industries. From modifying living organisms to the cultivation of plants biotechnology is an evolving and competitive field of study with many applications.

Taught by leaders in the field, our Biotechnology program provides you with a strong knowledge base through detailed coursework and hands-on laboratory training in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and physics.

In this program you will:

  • Acquire strong foundational knowledge
  • Obtain practical skills
  • Gain additional experience in business and innovation

Local and global teaching trips offer students exposure to biotechnology firms and laboratories, field sites, and different ecosystems. Established partnerships with universities outside of the United States enable students to engage in an international dialogue and gain insight into advances being made around the world.

A B.S. in Biotechnology degree will prepare you for exciting and innovative careers in environmental, industrial, and medical biotechnology.

Applicants must have official academic records (transcripts or mark-sheets) of their high school transcripts/diploma and for each year of postsecondary education (college or university), as well as official copies of degrees awarded. Required Scores for TOEFL: A score of 79 on the Internet Based Test (IBT), 550 points on the Paper Based Test (PBT) or 213 or higher on the Computer Based Test (CBT) is required for unrestricted acceptance; Required Scores for IELTS: Applicants must present scores of at least 5.5 for general acceptance and 6.0 for nursing acceptance on the IELTS; and PTE (43). Some applicants may require higher test scores depending on educational background and program of entry.
