The Bachelor of Education programme (Teaching of English as a Second Language (PBISBK/TESL) began in 1989. The aim of the programme is to provide academic preparation and professional training for English Secondary School teachers. The programme integrates the English language skills and English Literature with the professional components, which stress on knowledge in education and classroom teaching practices.

Course structure

A Student must complete total of 133 credits in order to be awarded the Bachelor of Education Teaching of English as a Second Language.

National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the percentage of 80% and above or A Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00. Applicant may be required to undergo an interview session for certain selected programmes before being accepted by the respective faculties. Students must obtain: TOEFL score of 500 (PBT), 173 (CBT) or 60 (IBT) and above or IELTS Band 5.0 - 6.5 and above.
