This Master’s in Safety, Health and Environment covers all aspects of occupational safety, health and environment, with emphasis on learning and research. This distance-learning course teaches you to help prevent accidents, ill health and other losses arising from work and work activities. Safety professionals are increasingly responsible for environment-related issues, and this is reflected in the topics studied in this MSc Safety, Health and Environment. We aim to help you develop research and analytical skills, and to gain a wider and more in-depth understanding of occupational health theory and practice. By studying critical thinking, you gain the necessary skills for the rest of the course. Growing concern about climate change also informs our approach to environmental issues in the workplace.

The course can greatly enhance your international career opportunities. Nearly all who study it aim to improve on their current roles (on joining) and see the the course as a means to change careers. For entry to our Master's programmes, you will need to have met the following: Achieving four year Bachelor with a minimum of 70% for UK 2.2 or with a minimum of 80% for UK 2.1. Students need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. For some postgraduate taught courses, you need: IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
