About this course

Become an expert in international relations and the challenges of globalisation on this MSc in international politics. You'll cover a range of topics on this UK course, including the analysis of global politics, governance and social change. Prepare for a career in politics, advocacy or the civil service, or pursue your research passions to PhD level.

On this master’s degree at the University of Southampton you’ll gain specialist understanding of current global and international politics.

You’ll learn how developments in this area have major consequences for how states:

  • deal with issues such as migration and the emergence of new global powers

Students need to have a Bachelors degree awarded by a high ranked Chinese university with an average grade of at least 70-88%, dependent on awarding institution. Most of our Masters programmes require you to achieve equivalent to a 2.1. X1 75% or 2.8 GPA, X2 78% or 3.1 GPA, X3 80% or 3.25 GPA, Y1 78% or 3.1 GPA, Y2 83% or 3.5 GPA, Z 88% or 3.7 GPA. IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.5 in reading and writing, 6.0 in listening and speaking.
